. Implement effective business plans
. Strengthen New York's position in local, national and global agricultural markets
. Increase consumer demand for New York farm products
. Develop and promote profit-generating production technologies
. Conserve New York's environment and rich natural resources
. Increase personal and family rewards of farming
. Work with producers to achieve quality of life for families, neighbors and communities
