How Does The Institute Get funds?
The New York Farm Viability Institute has received funds from state and federal government. Additionally, in-kind support comes from the Cornell and State of New York university systems, as well as the producers, agri-business, government and nonprofit agencies and others that provide support, expertise, volunteer service and more.
Each year, the Institute's board of directors and other supporters encourage legislators and government departments to fund the Institute based on the organization's record of accomplishments and commitment to fostering new opportunities for the state's farmers.
