A Strong Future for New York Agriculture

Energy Management & Bioenergy Grants

What is the Energy Management & Bioenergy grant program?

Proposals to the Energy Management & Bioenergy (NRG) should focus on practical applied research and outreach education on energy issues from the farmer's perspective, including on-farm energy conservation, bioenergy feedstock production, balance and integration of energy systems and animal agriculture, integrated food and energy systems, and bioenergy systems optimization.

Priority goes to proposals that include farmer participation across agriculture sectors, commodities, production and management systems, or regions of the state.

Eligible grant applicants include farmers, producer groups, researchers, educators, organizations, agencies and businesses. Applicants may represent nonprofit or for-profit sectors.
